Title: Summary of Navigational Events? Post by nhibbert on 03/19/4 at 16:52:57 As I'm new to rallying (but currently fourth as a co-driver in the ORRC novice standings ;D ), I don't know much about the details of upcoming events. Some have informative web sites, some don't have anything at all on-line. Could someone give me a short run down of the events? i.e. SOW - 8 to 10 hrs overnight, Bancrorft area, Simple instructions. SC - 4 to 6 hrs day time, Creemore area, tulip diagrams. Thanks in advance. Here's a complete list of events: JJ January Jaunt Rally 03 Jan TAC SSS Subaru Snowy Safari Rally 31 Jan PMSC SOW Subaru Ontario Winter Rally 21 Feb MLRC SC Ski Country Rally 06 Mar KWRC SRO Spring Run Off Rally 17 Apr PMSC DO Discover Ontario Car Rally 29 May TAC BL Blossom Rally 19 Jun KWRC AM Automapic Rally 17 Jul KWRC RR Rideau Run Rally 28 Aug MCO MLM Maple Leaf Madness 25 Sep MLRC NL Northern Lights Rally 16 Oct KWRC LH Lanark Highlands Rally 30 Oct MCO PP Presidents Prize Rally 13 Nov PMSC FB Frostbite Rally 06 Dec KWRC |
Title: Re: Summary of Navigational Events? Post by robert_ve3vpl on 03/22/4 at 18:57:19 I'll use the term navex instructions to mean "non-simple" instructions with the understanding that each event will have several levels of difficulty available depending on class. SRO - afternoon around 4 hrs; navex instructions; Cobourg area DO - afternoon (I think); Brantford; navex instr (see Toronto Autosport Club web site); 3-5 hours BL - afternoon; navex; Cambridge/Kitchener area; 3-5 hours AM - afternoon; navex; 3-5 hours; Woodstock/London RR - afternoon; navex; 4 hours; either Tweed or Perth (I am organizer) MLM - north -west of Toronto (I think); new event but probably navex; afternoon/evening?? NL- afternoon; navex; 3-6 hours; Woodstock/London/Kitchner LH - evening/night; 4-8 hours; simple instructions; Almonte/Perth and north ; snow possible PP - normally evening rally; navex; 4 hours or so; Peterborough; snow likely Frostbite - all night; 8 hours; simple instr; Frontenac county (ie north of Kingston) start/finish probably Maberly again; snow and ice likely |
