Quebec or northern US?

Keep an eye on SMCC events http://www.smccrally.com/cgi-bin/template.cgi?todo=default&url=events/events.html
They have run some simple drivexes in the past, Next one I know of for sure is night trial. Contact someone there for anything up coming.

There's supposed to be a pretty good winter event in Vermont - search around, you should find it.

And the Golden Pine Rally, same format as Lanark, two weeks later, out of Renfrew, 400 km of roads most or all of "you" haven't seen before.
