Title: Tall Pines Offers Descriptive Stage Notes School!
Post by TallPinesRally on 11/10/6 at 02:31:53

Have you ever wondered how rally drivers are able to drive so fast or what those co-drivers are talking about!? If so, the Tall Pines can help you learn to rally!

The Rally of the Tall Pines is currently offering a very limited number of spaces in our exclusive Descriptive Stage Notes School on Thursday November 23rd at Rally Headquarters in Bancroft between 8:30PM - 10:00PM. This school is open to the public but you will need to act quickly to reserve your space in the school.

The school is hosted by top Rally Co-Driver Mark Williams . Mark is a 3-time North America Rally Champion and 2-time Canadian National Rally Champion and has competed with Subaru Rally Team Canada, Team Mitsubishi Motor Sports America and Hyundai Rally Team USA.

Participants will learn about Descriptive Stage Notes in a friendly, interactive classroom environment with other actual Tall Pines Competitors. The School will feature the following topics:

  • The Difference between Organizer Supplied Stage Notes and Pace Notes.
  • How Descriptive Stage Notes are made.
  • How to read and deliver Descriptive Stage Notes effectively.
  • How best to customize Descriptive Stage Notes to your driver's preferences.
  • Notes Familiarization Pass procedures.
  • Question and Answer period.

After the Descriptive Stage Notes School, Students are invited to take part in the Notes Familiarization Pass (NFP) on Friday November 24th. Students will be given the opportunity to traverse all of the stages in order to become familiar with the terms used in the Organizer supplied Descriptive Stage Notes (that describe the features of the roads and the flow between features) by actually seeing those features as you are reading or hearing the Notes. Students must supply their own road worthy vehicles capable of handling any road conditions that may be experienced during the NFP. Proper tires (e.g. snow tires or if dry, gravel tires) are highly recommended as you will be driving actual stage roads.

The course includes:

  • Expert training from professional Rally Co-Driver Mark Williams during the School held on Thursday Nov 23rd between 8:30PM - 10:00PM at Rally HQ.
  • 1 set of Descriptive Stage Notes Books (Leg A & Leg B books).
  • 1 NFP Route Card
  • 1 NFP Schedule
  • Training materials.
  • Participation in the Notes Familiarization Pass on Friday November 24th, 2006 between 7:45AM - 4:30PM.
