Title: 2007 Black Bear Rally
Post by RyanHuber on 04/06/7 at 14:09:57

Despite Mother Nature's recent insistence otherwise, early summer is but a few short weeks away, which of course means it's almost time for this year's Black Bear Rally! Once again the Maple Leaf Rally Club is proud to partner with Four Star Motorsports (http://www.fourstarmotorsports.com) and Hot Bits Sport Suspensions (http://www.hotbits.ca) to present this year's rally. In addition, we're pleased to announce that ClearWater Design Canoes and Kayaks (http://www.clearwaterdesignboats.com) will be joining them, sponsoring the event workers this year. The organizers would like to thank them all for their support of this year's rally.

The 2007 edition of the Black Bear Rally will once again be held in beautiful Dorset, Ontario on Saturday, June 16th. More information regarding the rally, including supplemental regulations and online entry forms, will be posted soon on the event's website, http://www.mlrc.ca/blackbear . Please check back often as things get added over the coming couple weeks. As always, competitors may also contact me directly at blackbear.organizer@mlrc.ca with any questions you may have.

We'll be beginning our major volunteer recruitment push for this year's rally soon, but in the meantime we are still looking to fill some key organizing committee positions. Whether you're new to rallying or a seasoned veteran looking to contribute to the event and the sport, we can use you. Please contact me for more details regarding what we're looking for.

If you haven't yet marked June 16th on your calendars, please make a point of doing so now. We're looking forward to seeing everyone once again at this year's Black Bear Rally in Dorset, Ontario.

Holy moly!  Big news on SS - Christian Edstrom says Travis Pastrana is planning to run "Bear" and Defi in a low-spec P4 car.  Who's up to run against the big gun?

Hmmm... interesting... very interesting...

Pastrana goes off on stage 3 with a flat tire. While attempting to change the flat, Pastrana's codriver mysteriously disappears... carried off into the woods by a swarm of blackflies.

;)

funny story... took a random drive on a nice sunny september day... coming down 35 after cruising through Algonquin park... pass Dorset, come around the corner, realize I'm about to pass the Sherbourne Lake stage road, when a small blackbear runs across the road 100 meters infront of me.

Kind of surreal.
