You may say, isn’t this that two week TSD rally in historic cars crossing the USA?
You are right. But the 100th anniversary in 2008 will be quite different than previous years.
I have not posted here for a while but I thought I have to fill you in.

First: There are now two classes eligible to participate in THE GREAT RACE:
The Innovation Cup—cars powered by sustainable energy fuels
Schuster Cup— historic cars commemorating the original event

Second: In 2008, participant can compete in the whole Great Race 2008 - New York to Paris. The route consists of 3 sections: Great Race North America, Great Race China and Great Race Europe.
Now here is where it’s beginning to be interesting, part of the Section 1- North America goes right across Ontario and continues West to Vancouver.
That’s right - the Great Race will be coming right through our backyard ;D

Third: You don’t not have to compete in the whole New York - Paris event either. Not even the North American leg. In 2008 you can choose to do a 1 week or even just a three day section!

I already signed up for three days in my recently acquired 1918 American LaFrance Touring.
