Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 10/18/7 at 20:53:35 And the plot thickens! This is the event to be at this year folks, we've got lots of new stuff in the works that will be announced in the next day or two. Stay tuned! |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 10/19/7 at 15:03:09 We're not sure if we have enough volunteers yet, but if we do, we've got a plan in the works to get everyone at least 5 runs, and hopefully a couple fun runs, even with a large entry. If you have anyone who might want to come and get some good spectating in, free lunch, and help out the event, please bring them along! Also, let James know at rallycross@mlrc.ca The other thing I'm hoping to make happen is to provide every competitor with a set of stage notes for both courses. John Vanos and I will be preparing the notes on saturday, and I intend to bring my printer to give everyone a copy. Hopefully this gives some prospective co-drivers a little something to do as well ;) |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by canuck69 on 10/19/7 at 19:28:39 What if competitors rotated through work stations. Works well at MCO Slush N Slide events. I think they do it at auto-X too. |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 10/19/7 at 23:08:36 The biggest issue with that is the size of the area we use and the lack of other roads to get around on. At the slush n slides, you can drive the perimeter road without going on the course. At a solo, you can walk across the lot. Its impossible to drive around the rallycross course without stopping cars, and walking with woods and buildings in the way is tedious. I wish it was that simple, I know it'd make life a lot easier. |

Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by darryl on 10/29/7 at 07:40:34 A huge thanks to all the workers that volunteered to stand out in the cold all day. I had a great time! Thank You! |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by AlexeiS on 10/29/7 at 20:49:27 A second thanks to all the workers. That was a chilly day. At least it didn't rain! It is really appreciated. A big thanks to the organizers as well. The new run plan was decent, maybe with some tweaks it could go even better. Just no more double runs in the pit ;D I have no pictures from this event unfortunately, I couldn't get out into the stage without going down that long road, kinda risky. I'll have some videos of my runs up in a while. Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 11/01/7 at 21:32:22 Ok, finally got my video edited up. Wish I'd gotten my first run on tape but sadly the camera stopped for some reason about 15 seconds into the run :( First run is John driving my car, his first and only run. http://media.putfile.com/Bancroft-Rallycross-Round4-JVrun1 Second is my second run, with intermittent power steering acting up part way in and a bunch of missed braking points... http://media.putfile.com/Bancroft-Rallycross-Round4-run2 Third is my third run, in the pit, where things actually felt decent. http://media.putfile.com/Bancroft-Rallycross-Round4-run3 After that run I just didn't feel up to the pounding anymore, it'd been a long weekend of it (greencrewed Pines the day before) and I was worried I'd break something. My hotbits are coming off this weekend, hopefully I can get them rebuilt before Pines and I'm going to try running stock tops with them to see if it takes some of the harshness out. We shall see... |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by nhibbert on 11/02/7 at 15:47:10 I see the overall scores have been up-dated. http://www.kwrc.on.ca/rx.html Where are the event scores? Also, for the overall championship are we counting best three-out-of-four, like last year, or are we counting all four as it says on the RSO website? It matters because I may have been beat by a Dodge Ram. >:( ;) |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 11/02/7 at 15:57:39 OK, those scores are very much wrong. Only 3 of 4 scores, but starting points count for all 4 events. I've sent Roger a message to have a look at it. As for event scores, not sure what the holdup is, they've been sent to the webmaster, I'll prod on that too... |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 11/02/7 at 16:28:57 Done and Done, Roger's fixed them. You should be happier now Norm ;) |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by nhibbert on 11/02/7 at 17:39:57 Ah good, so I didn't get beat by a Dodge Ram, but everyone else in that class did. :D Someone should sponsor Conor so he can get a CORR truck. |
Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by RyanHuber on 11/02/7 at 17:43:26 Well, there's a P4 car that will probably be out playing next year, pretty sure its still class 3 though Norm ;) |

Title: Re: October 28th - Final Rallycross - WORKERS NEED Post by joe_black on 11/07/7 at 12:33:35 Wow... Alexei yes i was the first car, but i think that it was my amazing skill not the awesome track condition...lol. Watch out tho maybe next year ill be in your class. If it wasnt for the offcourse i had, we would have been pretty close again. Good job everyone, and special thanks to mark for letting me use his spare tire and helping me out. Cheers |
