Title: For Sale - Suzuki Swift GTs (2) and parts
Post by Jim_Stevens on 11/11/7 at 00:35:21

This is an advance notice that I am selling my two Suzuki Swift GTs - a 92 and a 93.  Both come with CARS log books although the roll cage on the 93 is probably illegal and would need replacing to rally it (great car for ice racing or rallycross).

As well all parts including 13 & 14 inch alloy wheels, 13 & 14 inch tires (gravel, snow, ice, street), rally seats, seat belts, light pods and many new and used parts will be for sale.

I will be posting the items available over the next several weeks.

For those of you that are interested, we ran the 92 at Tall Pines this past weekend.  The car ran flawlessly. Due to two driver errors and several other issues, our final placing wasn't indicative of the car's performance.

We caught the cars ahead of us on two stages which gives you some idea of how well the car was running.

We were car # 46 (most of the time - the number came off on the driver's side door and you will see 31 in some pictures - until we replaced the number) and among the pictures posted on this web site and Special Stage, you can see us in action.

I hope to have detailed listings and asking prices for both cars available some time next week.  These will go first to those that have already expressed interest in the two cars.

Good Evening all.

If you have never driven a Swift in a rally, you don't know what you are missing.

The car is so much fun to drive, especially if it is a tight and twisty stage or a slick surface.

It is very quick to drive and a lot of fun. Once on a stage you can really make the car go pretty quickly if you stay smooth.

In addition, it is an excellent way to start rallying on a budget.  A great learing car.

If you get both cars, you can ice race one and have a good headstart for Perce Neige and Sno*Drift.

The best part of it all, it does not consume a lot of fuel.
Or a lot of parts.

Just my opinion, and I was a previous owner of the White 1992 Swift rally car.

I'll second that!
Before anybody would make  a mistake to start build a rallycar,or start with the 4wd turbo.
I made the mistake, to build 1,than another 1,to convert it to 4wd.
Puting 40 grant..and counting into, and  not rallying.
Smart peoples learning from others mistake!

Title: Update - For Sale - Suzuki Swift GTs (2) and parts
Post by Jim_Stevens on 01/13/8 at 16:23:27

Update January 13

The two Swifts are still for sale.

"Zuke" our white 92 Swift GT came through Tall Pines in great shape.  The car performed flawlessly and was looking at a decent finish until its driver got a little too carried away on the last stage and as a result, the car lost 20+ minutes in a ditch, until eventually pulled out.

There doesn't appear to be anything that needs to be done to this car - other than some more cleanup - but I do want to complete a full inspection before I start letting serious potential buyers look at it.  I also need to finalize the packaging - I am considering options re seats, wheels, tires, seat belts, spares, that will provide different price options for buyers.

The 93 Swift GT, currently has the transmission out of it which obviously needs to be replaced with one of several spares that I have.  I am also hoping to get an updated analysis from a CARS scrutineer in terms of how much of the roll cage needs to be replaced and what additions/improvements need to be made to make the car legal as a rally car.  I suspect that this may take a little longer.

Unfortunately my time schedule is about 200% filled for the next six weeks so I doubt that any of this is going to get done until after that at the earliest.  Think Rocky or Blackbear for those who are interested in performance rally.  I would love to have both cars sold in March.

Sorry for the delay.

hello, was wondering if the swifts were still for sale and how much you want for them. I want to get into rallying and think a prebuilt car would be the best way to go.

thanks   Jeff
