Title: Wanted: Co-Driver for Black Bear
Post by jgardhouse on 05/11/8 at 14:15:20

Looking for a co-driver for black bear. Errr, I mean the Planet Motorsport Black Bear Rally ;D.

Lodgings, reasonable expenses etc covered/provided. Preferably looking for a crusty old fart - preferably one with a sense of humor - who wouldn't mind busting my chops on occasion . Friday recce is flexible - no need to take a day off work if you don't want to (1 pass is Saturday morning)... If your looking for a safe, fun and free ride, I'd love to hear from you.

Car is a P2 Mazda (Ex. Horsey / Hendy), well maintained before I got it, and it has seen much time, money and love since I took possession. Slow, safe and a heck of a lot of fun. Also has a cassette deck.

Co-Driver found!

Now all I need to do is waterproof the hell out of the car and add some floatation to make it Planet Motorsport Black Bear Rally ready!

It's all melt water, pooled in a low area that has no outflows (we know, because we treked through the bush looking for it and walked all the way around it). It just happens to be centered on the stage road, but having spoken to a hydrologist, I've been assured that it will be dry soon enough.

So Ryan, did you get a chance to see the road again this weekend?  Is that puddle diminished yet?

Other than that watersplash, these roads are in the best condition they have ever been in by far!  All competitors are going to be in for a real treat at this year's event!
