Title: Re: Pics from September 28th Rallycross Post by Alexei S on 09/29/8 at 21:30:31 Thanks for the great pictures :) All my pictures sucked this time, so sorry. I have nothing good to share of other people's cars. There was so little time between runs. I couldn't really get anything done. Here's my videos. Run 5, about 45 seconds in is where the hit that ended my day came. http://media.putfile.com/Bancroft-2008-September-28-Rallycross-Car-6-Run-1 http://media.putfile.com/Bancroft-2008-September-28-Rallycross-Car-6-Run-3 http://media.putfile.com/Bancroft-2008-September-28-Rallycross-Car-6-Run-4 And finally, Run 5. Forget Putfile, POS. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=0ktDRLzu3Pc And pics of the aftermath: http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k22/StimpyBoy/Bancroft%202008%20September%2028/?action=view¤t=IMG_2794.jpg http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k22/StimpyBoy/Bancroft%202008%20September%2028/?action=view¤t=IMG_2795.jpg Needless to say, I'm in the market for another strut or maybe a different suspension setup. If anyone has some ideas of reasonably priced stuff, I would like to hear about it. I'm thinking of several different options at this point, from just trying to find a used OEM strut to something moderately strong for gravel. |
Title: Re: Pics from September 28th Rallycross Post by RyanHuber on 09/29/8 at 22:05:01 Hotbits are pretty reasonable for this kind of thing, but I'd avoid the top mounts (I blow at least a couple bearings a year) and just use group N tops with spacers. Beyond that, AGXs maybe with stiffer but not shorter springs would probably be alright for RX, but they're no less likely to bend like that than stock. |
