Title: Map for Tall Pines? Post by Daniel_Buehler on 11/17/8 at 09:32:18 Hello, Two questions: First, I'm looking for a map (or a few) of the Bancroft area. I'd like to to find one that has as many of the roads we will be using as possible. Does anyone know where I can download an appropriate map? Second, I can't find the latitude and longitude boundaries for the rally (I'm sure I saw some last year). If they are listed, can anyone tell me where they are? Thank you for your time. Daniel |
Title: Re: Map for Tall Pines? Post by jgardhouse on 11/17/8 at 09:35:47 I believe there are some rules in the GCR's about not releasing route details. One of the reasons why you don't see routes/maps online before the event. Longitude and Latitude are traditionally in the supps, I don't remember if I saw this or not. |
Title: Re: Map for Tall Pines? Post by rosswood on 11/17/8 at 14:10:19 Jamie is right. Some basic boundaries - guaranteed not to go beyond these: North - Birds Creek East - McArthur Mills South - Bannockburn West - Coe Hill There is an excellent Hastings County map available online. I will get Nornan H. to provide the details if no one else can find it. |

Title: Re: Map for Tall Pines? Post by Daniel_Buehler on 11/18/8 at 17:13:46 Hi all, And, thanks. Jamie - did you see them in the Tall Pines Supps? Because I should probably let Nuwan know if I'm loosing my ability to read... :D Ross - thanks so much, those were what I was looking for. Ryan - I also can't get the link to work. And I'm in Alberta with no access to a car, so online is the only source for me... :( |
Title: Re: Map for Tall Pines? Post by RyanHuber on 11/18/8 at 17:45:09 Dan, try this: http://www.hastingsnavigator.ca/ (Thanks Bruce) PS Dan, good to see your car at ORF, any idea when you might be there again? |
Title: Re: Map for Tall Pines? Post by Daniel_Buehler on 11/18/8 at 18:27:56 Thank Ryan (and Bruce), That link is perfect! I'll be moving a couple more small things up to ORF in the week after Pines. I hope to be working (playing?) there at least once a week after that. Your car looks GOOOOOOOD... :o |
Title: Re: Map for Tall Pines? Post by RyanHuber on 11/18/8 at 18:59:11 Nice! I'm trying to spend one day a week there. Things are progressing, I might be ready to make my first bend the weekend after Pines. Here's hoping anyway! ;) |
