Hello everyone,

Over the past few years MLRC's membership numbers have been slowly
dwindling. With the board changes of the last few months, the new Board
has decided to be more aggressive in promoting the club and bringing
membership numbers back in line with their former levels.

MLRC offers the most events and widest range of events of any club and
we need a large membership base to properly support these activities -
from beginner level Mini Rallies, to ORRC level MLWR, to a full Winter
and Summer RallyCross Series, to OPRC level Black Bear and Tall Pines to
CRC/NARC level Tall Pines (arguably Canada's biggest and best rally
event) to frequent Testing Days (hugely popular opportunity for
competitors to test cars and develop their skills).

MLRC continues to be the leading rally club, both in events and
activities being organized, but also in acting in the interest of the
sport e.g. pro-active in legislative issues that affect the sport in
general, providing leadership on Regional (RSO) and National (CARS)
Boards plus leading in offering new types of very popular activities
e.g. Testing Days.

MLRC offers best communication of any club with its members by numerous
different means - club meetings, club newsletter, highly active web
forum and group e mails, thus keeping the members up on what is
happening in rally.

Therefore, by offering a reduced membership fee special we hope to see
many of our faithful former members back and to attract new members,
especially those who are supporting the club by volunteering at its
events e.g. Tall Pines and Black Bear.

From now until December 31st, you can sign up for the remainder of 2008
and all of 2009 for just $40.00 for individual members or $50.00 for a
family membership. For more information or a membership form, please
contact our Membership Coordinator, James Drake, at membership@mlrc.ca
or better yet, download the form here
http://www.mlrc.ca/MLRCMembForm2008.pdf and bring a copy with you to our
AGM next Tuesday, December 9th. If you sign up before the 9th but are
unable to attend the AGM, we ask that you complete the proxy form below
and forward it to a member who will be attending the meeting.
