Title: Perce-Neige accomodation - any advice?
Post by overthehill on 12/16/8 at 20:46:54

Anyone has any experience with Maniwaki accommodation? As usually, cheaper is better, but I would like to get some sleep for 3 people.

The website shows Auberge du Draver, Chateau Logue Hotel, Motel Central, Motel O'Pano and Auberge de la Desert... Any recommendations before I call them?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

The O-Pano is about 15 minutes north of Maniwaki, basic (it's really a truck stop motel) but if you're looking for a place to sleep it works and it's cheap. I've been there the last two years and it does the job. Depending on who's on the desk, English might be an issue. Oh, and it's extremely easy to drive past. It's on the back side of the Petro Canada truck fuel station, no signs that I ever noticed etc.

My choices would be Draveur (HQ, I think - plus most/all the staff was bilingual)
Motel Central (ask for one of the renovated rooms)
O-Pano (also spelt o'Pano and au-Pano... Cuz its cheap... English may be an issue)

Draveur is full, we booked at Motel Central, its about $100/night, and just down the road.
