Title: Re: tech question.... peltor plugs Post by jgardhouse on 01/02/9 at 13:57:59 You don't want to use two peltor to terraphone adaptors at once. The impedance of the headsets are different - if you use one Peltor, let alone two with a terraphone, it's super quiet! Adaptors are $50 each. The nexus TJ-120 Connectors are very expensive on there own. This also begs the question of why the hell you would want to use a terraphone. Sound quality and build quality are both vastly inferior. If you want it because you want to connect a ham radio or the like, you can interface radios with the FMT/110/100/15 intercoms, Walter Clark is an EE and rally guy stateside who worked it all out - I can email you (or anyone else) his notes for the modifications if you wish. Or you can shell out for the FMT200. Thats some serious kit with a serious price tag to match. (or if you don't need to do anything fancy, a FMT110 will work well too) |

Maybe the audible tachometer "feature"? ;) Ian, if both you and your co-driver have Peltor headsets, you don't really have any choice but to run a Peltor amp... but you'll probably like it better in the long run anyhow. |
