Scoop is .... is that I killed it....  :-[ (By mistake OBVIOUSLY)(I'm thinking that the timing belt snapped and I was in the middle of passing a car) So other than the engine, everything was working great. No mods, just regular scheduled maintenance. New tires on two weeks ago. Brakes work good, transmission good. I also have a bike rack, ski rack and parts for a kayak rack for it as well. So right now it is in St. Catharines, Ontario. If you want it, email me  jencken@gmail.com. I'm open to offers/suggestions on what to do with it.

Why not rebuild it? (have it rebuilt)

I've seen timing belts snap without damaging the engine. I've also seen it damage the engine. But a decent replacement engine can be had for a fair price. Someone who knows what they are doing can have the old engine out and a new engine in in an afternoon.

In my oppinion, the ONLY reason to scrap an Impreza is rust.

Lots of money can be had parting out a WRX, but you need time, space, and some skill to pull all the parts off the shell.

I'd bet the car is worth more with a new engine in it (taking replacement cost into account) than it would be to pull it appart or sell it as is.

I second the rebuilding. You have the perfect start for a nice rally car :D

What colour is the car though?

Sorry to hear about the Subie dieing on you :(
