Watch Matt Barnes thread the needle at about 1:20:

He doesn't even break the tape!

Anyone know if there was a TV camera at that corner?  That seems to be my 'thing'.  I only go off if there's a TV crew within sight.

That corner is right at the start of the stage.  Since it's fwd car, the rear tires were still cold.  So when I meant slide it out and have an impressive long drift, instead the back end came around way too fast.  Then I had to straighten it out, otherwise I would have gone into the pole in the middle of the turn.  Then I couldn't get it to turn back again fast enough...
The fact that we were driving without any suspension dampening to speak of, and constantly shifting toe/camber, definately didn't help either.

Now that I've seen the video, it's clear I braked too much and too soon.  If I'd held the gas longer, it would have been sweet!

TV camera or not, there were spectators ... lots of them. Your new 'thing' may just be to go off in front of spectators!

Congratulations on a great result!
