I just got a crazy! :D deal on an automatic 2.5rs. I am trying to decide if I should keep it and swap it to a 5 speed or if I should just sell it off. I am just wondering if anyone on here here knows how hard it would be and if anyone might happen to have the parts I would need? My guess is transmission, dif, axles, pedal essemble, clutch assembly, flywheel,ecu?

I'm not sure if you would need axles or not, but you will need the longer prop shaft, the auto is shorter, same as the 6 speed. I also don't know if you need an ecu or not.

send me a PM I have a 4.11 trans pedals shafts etc etc. everything that you will need to go to a 5 speed.

I drove a 4EAT Impreza for years. It's actually a pretty good transmission. Much better than the basic 5MT I currently have. The 4EAT uses clutch packs to redistibute the power fore and aft making it effectively an active centre diff. The only problem with it was it takes a long time to downshift if you leave it in D. The solution to that is to manually pull it back into 3 or 2 as needed.
