Hey James,

What is the qualification for a Team Membership?

Do you have to actually have a stage car, and have a full time driver/navigator, or can it be like two people that want to try a mini nav rally?

Thanks,

Tim

What is Team Membership?

Thank you Tim for the question,

Team membership is designed for a "team" of two people that may be a full time driver/navigator or just a Mini-Rally team.

A few examples:
  • CRC - Canadian Rally Championship Co-driver and Driver

  • OPRC - Ontario Performance Rally Championship Co-driver and Driver

  • ORRC - Ontario Road Rally Championship Co-driver and Driver

  • MLRC Mini-Rally Teams

  • la Coupe du Quebec Co-driver and Driver

  • I'm sure there are others...

Hope this helps.
JD

Me and Tim are planning on doing some nav rallies this year as well as the rally-x events.  Does that qualify us for the team memebership?  Or do we both have to do our own?

Hi Donnie,

James Drake is our membership secretary (and RallyX co-ordinator and pines volunteer and a million other things).
Like all of us involved with the club, he does give up his 'free' time to do all things MLRC. Work (and I think right now is an end of quarter), family, school all seem to conflict with rally for some weird reason  ;D (Whats up with that?)

I know membership cards were sent out in the last year a) Because I ordered them from the printers, and b) I got mine in the mail. Perhaps you were the exception to the rule (a victim of a cruel clerical error, perhaps... Or just Canada Post being lazy).

James does keep his eyes on the forums, so I'm sure he'll see this. But I will mention it to him in any case.

Our OnRoute editor ended up south of the border for a while which explains a lot, but in any case, we always need content/writers/photos/cheap jokes to fill it up, guest editors to step up to the plate etc etc :)

Best Regards,

JG

When is the awards banquet/meeting going on for the MLRC this year? I thought it was December.

If its not till next year, I'll sign up for the membership now.

We've put it off until January, though we still haven't actually set a date for it yet. Notice will be soon hopefully.

I can take money for Membership onsite at the rallycross tomorrow.

But please, just not at registration times.
