Title: What a Storm Post by Dave Cotie on 12/13/10 at 09:41:08 Officially we have 18 cm of new snow (but it is blowing around like crazy), 50 mph wind gusts, and wind chills in the -30 to -35 degree C range. Left the Exploder home for the wife and drove the Outback on snows to work. That was fun!!! ;D |
Title: Re: What a Storm Post by Anthony_T on 12/13/10 at 19:39:21 Officially Winter (at least in my books). It's also the day the blower in the car packed it in. Is that irony or what? |
Title: Re: What a Storm Post by dtompsett on 12/13/10 at 21:22:39 Some spots... 2"... some spots... more than 18". Worst part was it's that fine stuff that blows around, so it gets really hard-packed. Just spent almost 3 hours with the snowblower. |
Title: Re: What a Storm Post by Dave Cotie on 12/13/10 at 22:51:13 That figures Anthony! Doug we had 8 ft snow drifts at our Aviation Campus - the wind at the Airport is just nasty. I was lucky - one of my neighbours owns a lawn tractor with a snowblower - he did 90% of my driveway before I arrived at home. :) |
Title: Re: What a Storm Post by rosswood on 12/14/10 at 07:50:34 The drive home from the RSO meeting in Brampton last night was pretty hairy - lots of total whiteouts on the east-west roads. Had to almost come to a stop at least half a dozen times. |
Title: Re: What a Storm Post by overthehill on 12/14/10 at 08:40:20 Reporting from Scarborough - what storm? :) |

I have to second RoSs coments for last night. I'am extremely happy that Ross volunteered to give me a ride last night. We had some hairy moments both going and coming home. Many thanks Ross ;D ;D ;D Pete g |
