I know there have been posts like this in the past, but with the profusion of HD cameras and editing suites recently, I wonder if it's time for an update. I want to send a few good, dramatic, adrenaline-pumping yet with the "spirit of the rally" videos to a few friends. Any suggestions?

The original "In the End" is a classic I assume:

What else is out there? There are tons of great moments, good and bad, that even I can think off that aren't in these - the Atkinson Australia Jump, the Collin McRae jump/roll/restart in Xgames, etc...

Also... we've watched some recent WRC rallies and the response was that "rally was interesting in principle, but WRC is 'Formula-1 boring' due to only two manfacturers, and Loeb's dominance"

Any tips on whether to watch previous seasons [prior to 2004, I guess], or other champhionships/classes/categories [and if so, which ones]?

I have early 2000's British Championship seasons on DVD which were great due to variety of cars - Opel, Renault, Pegaut, Fiat, Skoda, etc - but even they seemed to homogenize quickly in the open/top category toward mid-2000's. The lower classes don't seem to have much meaningful/interesting coverage in either TV specials or DVD :-/

Although it is not truly rally, without a doubt "Climb Dance" is a classic.

Shot at Pikes Peak with Ari Vatennen (sp?) in a Peugoet when PP was still mostly gravel.
