NOTICE OF THE 2011 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Of the members of the
MAPLE LEAF RALLY CLUB Inc.

Notice is hereby given that the 2011 Annual General Meeting of the Members to the Maple Leaf Rally Club, will be convened at the Musket Restaurant, 40 Advance Road, Etobicoke, Ontario, on Thursday, 8th March 2012 at 8:00 p.m., or shortly thereafter, for the following purpose.
To approve and adopt and confirm all acts, by-laws and proceedings of the directors since Tuesday, 25 January 2011
To elect Officers and Directors for 2 year term starting immediately following the AGM; Vice-President, Treasurer, Director-At-Larga
To transact such further business, or any other business, as may properly come before the meeting, or any adjournment or adjournments thereof.

If you cannot attend in person, you may appoint another member-in-good-standing to act for you by proxy. To be valid, proxies must be deposited with the Club Secretary before 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8th March 2012.

Awards Dinner

We will also be holding an award dinner for the members and winners of our Rallycross and Mini Rally and Yearly MLRC awards. Each recipient will get a free dinner from the club and will get an email invitation in the next week.

We do however invite all members and their family and friends to join us for the dinner presentation at 7:00pm.

Thank you and congratulations, a full list of the winners will be posted.

AGM UPDATE AND NOTICE:.

Reminder that the 2011 MLRC AGM will be help on March 8th / 8:00pm at the Musket Restaurant. We would love to see as many old and new faces as possible so please feel free to come even if you were not a member-in-good-standing for 2011. There will be the awards dinner at 7:00pm as well so please come out to congratulate your fellow MLRC members.

We are currently in the process of updating the Clubs By-Laws to make sure we have captured all changes that have been previously approved by the general membership of the club. One change that was made in 2005 was the change of elected term for the Directors from a one year term to a two year term alternating with President and Secretary in one year and Vice President, Directory at Large and Treasurer in other year. After this vote taken the By-Laws were never updated and unfortunately the meeting minutes from this vote have been lost. We would like to have a vote at the AGM that re-affirms the original vote and captures the changes in updated By-Laws.

Linked below is copy of the updated By-Laws which reflect this change and it is important to note that nothing is changing with the operation of the club we are just bringing our documentation in line and officially capturing the general memberships acceptance.
