John, I have a set of four 20-spoke (or something like that) factory wheels, Ronal I believe, originally from an Audi Coupe GT.  They are 14x6 with a 4x100mm bolt pattern, hub-centric.  I think the offset is 37 or 40mm?  They should be fine for a VW.  They are straight, no leaks, and in good shape (from what I recall; they've been in storage for years now).  Email me for more info. if yo're interested, and I can pull them and send you pix.

It's Chad in Owen Sound, I've got 4, five spoke, 4x100 bolt pattern  "ASA" alloys in good shape (Aftermarket rims) but they are 15's.  They have 195-65-15 nordic icetrac rubber (canadian tire) with more then 80% tred left, surprisingly good in gravel and snow but unlike the name indicates just ok on ice.

$300 bucks takes the rims and tires, $200 for just the rims.
