I'm looking for a set of 14" wheels that must be 4x100 bolt pattern.

I have a set of four wheels from a 1986-1987 Audi Coupe GT I may wanna get rid of, and put the money in a rally-car piggybank.  These are the original Audi factory (Ronal OEM) wheels (20-spoke or something like that) in a 4x100, hub-centric pattern.  Offset is 43 or 47mm, I think and they are 14-inch x 6-inch.  They are in fairly fgood shape cosmetically, straight, no leaks and have been in storage for about six years, unused.  E-mail me at temp001@ca.inter.net if interested.

Indeed, my Coupe GT has the 4x108 pattern.  These wheels I have for sale, however, do have the 4x100 pattern, which is why I don't need them.  You are correct with your dates, in that these wheels may be from an earlier Audi Coupe GT (I didn't know the switch-over to 4x108 was so early).  However, there were still 4x100 wheels available for the 1987 Coupe up to s/n D-200000 according to the EKTA dealer parts catalogue, but that was likely only in Europe...
