Balancing a flywheel
01/12/4 at 12:11:45

Hi all

I'm working on a Legacy engine, and one of the things I would like to do is lighten the flywheel a little bit.
But after that I believe it would have to be balanced.

Can anyone suggest a person or workshop that can balance a flywheel ?

Thanks a lot,
Ilya.

Hi:

Try Litner Performance at John Street in Markham. ( Where AutoTrim is located)

Hi, are you working on a EJ22T turbo engine?
If you do, then I have a lighted and balanced flywheel for sale, $200 and its yours, I light and balance it at Scarborough Engine and they did it very well.

Please e-mail me at ej22t@yahoo.com if you are interesting
Thanks
Ben

Hi

Actually I have an EJ223 non-turbo 2.2 engine.

It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if it's the same flywheel.

I will try and find out.
Thanks for the offer!

Ilya.

Actually the dealer says that the flywheels were the same on all 2.2L engines, except the turbo models. Those were different.

So unfortunately it wouldn't fit.

But just out of curioiusity - could you tell me how much was it lightened ?
Like, say the current weight versus the original weight ?

Thank you,
Ilya.
