Suzuki Swift GT/GTi
02/12/4 at 16:34:01

Hi there,
Does anyone know if any Suzuki Swift GT/GTi are still running rallies or if there are any of them for sale in Ontario?

I am looking to get started in rallying and figured the Swift would be an economical car to run and parts would be cheap too.

I was considering the following other cars but ruled them all out:

1. 323 GTX - parts hard to find, not competitive in PGT
2. Talon/TSi - tranny is weak
3. Impreza - way to expensive for small budget team
4. Golf GTi - great car but I can't find a 1990-91 rally prepped model.

Anyways if you know of any Swifts for sale let me know.
Alternatively a 1990-91 Golf Gti would do too.
Thanks,
Neal

JS Busque's Swift was for sale through 4-Star not too long ago, i'd check to see if it was available.  Good price, came with a lot of goodies.

Same goes for ACP's old Lada or the Hendy's 323 P2 car

All those cars had been thoroughly sorted out, so beyond the initial buy-in, I wouldn't expect many running costs

Thanks for the replies.
The Swift you are referring to is sold.

I'll keep looking - a nice Swift or a nicer Golf GTi will show up sooner or later.

Thanks again.

Ed Richardson used to have a street one in his garage. No cage. I don't know if he still has it.
