Which bunch are you referring to? I did have to drop one spot because it was
too dangerous, but there are a few others where there's something that
protects me (like a tree or an elevation) that is not in the frame.

In the open class listing, they start at the bottom of the second column. The corner where ACP spun right in front of you. I always get the willies when a car is already sideways before the corner, pointed at me on the apex.

Oh, that one... that spot was pretty safe I think. I didn't trust myself on that one (I'm not a rally driver/navigator), but I asked several people that are, and were with me. Also marshalls around that spot didn't mind me standing there. There also was a tree right beside me, which (luckily) didn't get into the frame with ACP.

The spot itself is right inside the 90 degree turn. The place where they tend to
go off the road was clearly marked by other cars during the previous stage Smiley
and was on the other side from where I was.

Yeah, I hear ya, but I've still never been big on standing on the apex of a corner like that, especially since the cars were on tarmac and would handle different than drivers would be used to. I'd hate to have a car hook up better than the driver expected, and enter the corner too early (John Cassidy was pretty close!)

Anyways, nice shots.
