Tall Pines: SuppRegs Posted On-Line!

To all competitors:

The 2005 Supplementary Regulations are now available on the Rally of the Tall Pines website
(http://www.tallpinesrally.com/TallPines/Default.aspx?tabid=76) in Adobe PDF format. Currently, only the English SuppRegs are available, but French SuppRegs will be made available as soon as possible once they are translated for our French friends.

On-line registration and payment will also be added in the next day and the Tall Pines be taking entries for this year's event starting this weekend.

The Rally of the Tall Pines is always growing and improving and this year is no exception! I would personally like to extend an invitation to all potential competitors to come out and participate in this one of a kind experience on 25-26 November 2005!

Some of the highlights at this year's upcoming rally are:

* A new format of route book that will combine the traditional tulip-based Route Book with Organizer Supplied Descriptive Stage Notes.

* A Notes Familiarization Pass that will provide at lease one pass over all stages to allow competitors a chance to verify the Organizer Supplied Descriptive Stage Notes.

* Regional event competitors will be given a chance to drive all of Leg B of this year's rally through Castledine's Corner - the famous night time spectator area. Regional competitors will now finish along with the National competitors and will be given an opportunity to sharpen their night time driving skills.

Why not invite your friends, family and sponsors to this year's event and enrol them in North America's best Rally VIP Program and watch the rally in style!? More details can be found at:
http://www.tallpinesrally.com/TallPines/Default.aspx?tabid=92.

We hope to see you all in Bancroft at the Rally of the Tall Pines on the 25-26th of November 2005!

Thanks, Richard

Shakedown could not happen and stay a '3 day' event.  I am disappointed too that there is no shakedown but I understand their reasons for it fully.

John is correct. Shakedown is something that we wanted to do, but it was not possible to do both the Notes Familiarization Pass and Shakedown in a given day plus Tech Inspection. We felt it was more important to provide competitors an opportunity to see the Organizer Supplied Descriptive Stage Notes and roads. Extending to a three day event would most certainly raise costs for competitors. With the increase in entry fee, we felt that this was not a viable option.

Sure, if you can find us a title sponsor, we would be more than happy to reduce the entry fee! An additional day in Bancroft will cost most teams far more than $250. The Pines feels this is the best and cheapest solution.
