10:00 A.M.  Just spoke with Mr. Thompson, our rally friend who is keeping the  middle 4km section of Lower Old Hastings Rd. open for us.  They had about 10 cm. of snow then some rain yesterday,  so he went out and plowed last night.

Overnight it snowed about 4 cm. more and now there is a very strong wind blowing,  but there is only very fine snow in the air. He said it is -6 degrees C at the moment.

Mr. Thompson is going to wait until later this afternoon before going out to plow again.  At the moment the road is not very icy.

I will try to contact him and some other residents again later this afternoon.
