This year, the Black Bear Rally is pleased to announce some new features to benefit competitors even more than last years event.

The Black Bear Rally organising committee has facilitated the entry of two media personalities as co-drivers in the event.

Lawrence Hacking will be co-driving for Andrew Comrie-Picard. Hacking has enjoyed numerous successes in rally related events. Having participated at Targa Newfoundland, Lawrence has some experience in a car, but most has come on two wheels. Lawrence is an avid rally raid competitor who has completed the Dakar, as well as other events around the world. Lawrence will be writing about his experience for the Toronto Star.

Annette McLeod is the Auto Editor for the Toronto Sun, and will be co-driving for Randy Zimmer. New to rallying, this will be the first event for McLeod.

With the added exposure these two will bring to the rally, presenting sponsors Hot Bits Performance Parts ( http://www.motorsport-dist.com/ ) and Four Star Motorsports ( http://www.fourstarmotorsports.com/ ) have come forward once again to support the event. Both Hot Bits and Four Star Motorsports are also contributing prizes meaning more prizes for competitors than last year!

As the second round of the Ontario Performance Rally Championship, the Black Bear Rally is continuing its dedication to improving the event for competitors and sponsors alike.

In order to be eligible for the seeded draw, entries must be received prior to June 12th, 2006 and competitors are encouraged to get their entries in early.

There's actually 15 right now, but many have chosen to pay by cheque, and until we receive their cheque we won't approve the entry in the online system.
