Team VDG Background:

The two-car team has already shown from their last year of Targa competition that they are a top contender among a competitive field at the fifth annual Targa Newfoundland rally.

The furiously fast 1967 Acadian Canso Sport Coupe piloted by driver Jud Buchanan and navigated by Jim Adams is a returning contender, with top finishes at previous Targa Newfoundland competitions. The team is currently in second place and first in their class.

Team VDG has also returned with a 2005 Subaru WRX STi piloted by performance rally veteran Keith Townsend and navigator Jen Horsey. The Townsend / Horsey team blasted onto the Targa scene last year when they debuted their specially prepared Subaru WRX STi. The team is currently sitting in 5th position overall and second in class after two days of tough competition.
