2007 MINI SERIES
03/25/7 at 08:52:53

Announcing the MLRC 2007 Mini Rally Series.

The Mini Series is a set of 7 monthly navigational rallies held monthly from April until October on Monday evenings on good quality gravel and paved country roads just north of Toronto.  Anyone can enter with Beginner, Novice and Expert classes, but they are particularly aimed at the Beginner.  They are FUN, inexpensive and challenging.  Trophies are awarded each night for each class.

Dates for 2007 are April 16, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10 and October 1.  Mark them on your calendar now.

Any road-legal vehicle may enter.  No special preparation is required,  although it is pretty much essential to have a good reading light for the navigator.  Other than that just bring paperwork for the vehicle and driver (registration, proof of insurance, driver’s licence) and some basic equipment – clipboard, writing utensils, watch and calculator.

No previous experience is required.  We will have free rally manuals available.  If you come a bit early,  there are always experienced rallyists eagerly waiting to answer your questions and give you pointers. This type of rally is great experience for people planning to enter any type of rally event.

The Start/Finish is at the King Service Centre on the northbound Hwy 400 between Major MacKenzie Drive and King Sideroad.  Registration opens at 6:30 and the first car starts at 8:01 P.M.  First car usually finishes around 10:15 P.M. and everything is wrapped up by 11:00 P.M.

Entry fee is $25 per car or $20 for MLRC & TAC members.

This year the Maple Leaf Rally Club (MLRC) and the Toronto Autosport Club (TAC) are pleased to announce a combined championship.  Competitors count their best six events from either Series with a minimum of two from each Series.

The Mini Series is an essential building block for MLRC,  both in terms of competitors and workers.  So come on out for some fun and please bring someone new. For further information check out the website at www.mlrc.ca  or contact either Ed Richardson (Registrar) at edrichser@yahoo.ca  416-247-8506  or Ken Nazeer (Coordinator) at atlarge@mlrc.ca

Please pass this message on to anyone who might be interested.
