Co Driver course Nov 10th
08/25/7 at 07:52:26

RSO is planning a Co Driver course Nov 10th in Peterborough [probably at SSFC]

This course will be taught by many time Champion Mark Williams [he co drove for 3 drivers as they gained points required to enter X Games.]

WE are still putting the details together for this course However we would
like to get an expression of interest. While this course is designed for Co Drivers it will be of value to Drivers as well. All way better if the Left seat understands what the Right is doing.

Please contact me OFF forum at gulliver@nexicom.net and I will place you on list

This will be a by reservation event only [nobody at the door] estimated
course price will be $50

Please forward this to any one you feel would be interested

Plans are moving swiftly ahead for RSO Rally Co Driver Course. November 10th
in Peterborough.

Full details are available on RSO web site www.rallysport.on.ca

The course will be taught by many time Rally Co Driver Champion Mark
Williams

Under CARS regulations competitors are required to complete two Regional
events  or one Regional and a Course/School. This course meets that
requirement and will allow you some of you-if you wish-to move up to Nat
status just in time for Tall Pines.  This applies equally to both Drivers
and Co Drivers.

Get your entry in NOW  Contact gulliver@nexicom.net with any questions

Plans are moving along well for the RSO Performance Rally Co Driver course.
The course will be held November 10th in Peterborough at Sir Sandford
Fleming College.

PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

The course will taught by many time Rally Champion Mark Williams full
details can be found on the RSO web site www.rallysport.on.ca along with
registration form.

We have a mix of experienced co drivers along some real Newbie's.

Just FYI I have heard that CARS will be changing requirements for obtaining Regional licences sometime next year. A course such as this will be one of the possible requirements to obtain a licence [this is still be worked on by CARS]

If you have completed one Regional Rally this course will allow you to upgrade to a National Licence in time for Tall Pines

Currently over 30 people are registered plus several 'Its in the mail soon'. We can handle a maximum of 50.

We will be cutting off registration October 30 as we need to get Training materials sorted out along with lunches etc.

You may contact Registrar Pete Gulliver gulliver@nexicom.net with any questions

I completed one of Mark's courses before I ran my first rally.

I strongly recommend the course for anyone thinking of taking the plunge into co-driving.  Mark is one of the best in the business.

Thanks to all the people for organizing this amazing opportunity and especially to Mark Williams for sharing the experience gained in 26 (!) years of rallying!

One of the best rally-related-learning-experiences I've ever had.

Indeed we are very fortunate that Mark was willing to come and share his wealth of experience and expertise.  I'm sure it was information overload for many in the full-house session,  but the book you took home will be a very valuable resource to you for reference.

Thanks also to Peter Gulliver for putting it all together for RSO.

Same here.  That was an excellent course!  I learnt a ton of useful stuff and now I'm a lot less nervous about Pines coming up.

um, I still haven't decided whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing, being less nervous that is.  Man, I could get nervous about THAT now instead.

I found it amazing that a guy with such expertise and recognition would come from that far to offer a course that beginners could afford.  At 50$, this was amazing value.  Thank you so much Pete Gulliver, RSO and Mark Williams!

I'm so glad to have had the chance to take this course. Mark had so much experience to share, plus video clips on right and wrong ways of doing things and lots of anecdotes to demonstrate his points.

It was so good, in fact, that my husband ended up taking it for the second time!

Many thanks to RSO, Peter G., Peter W. and all those who had a hand in arranging this! and, of course, to Mark.  Wink Smiley
