Alright, here's my pics and vids. I'll post more on the event itself later. I'm tired and I need to get some other things done. I didn't get home until 12:30 AM this morning because of some stupid accident on 401 West.

My runs #2, 3 and 4. I messed up the camera for #1, ran out of space partway through #3, grinded 1st gear in #4, each run has 1 to 2 mistakes in it, and some wussiness. WARNING, I swear at least once in each video.

Hi all,

I only got video of 3 of my runs, as the camera came loose on my second run and it's extremely "Blair Witch", impossible to watch without getting sick... However...

Run 1, with the camera on the roof pointing forward, to give an idea of the course layout. I was car 29, so things were already pretty torn up.

Run 3, just after they'd re-graded the track and we were in reverse order, so super smooth for me. My fastest run, FTD, as I was able to drive my own lines and not be forced to drive the lines others had taken and made ruts. This is the most impressive video of the day too, I love this angle!

Run 4, on the second course in the gravel pit. Once again in reverse order, I had great course conditions down here as well. I tried the helmet-cam again for this run, I keep aiming it too low, but it's still pretty cool.

I cannot believe how much power that car has Ryan. Holy crap. One of the Cougar co-drivers went for a run in my car and said it "pulls". I should have directed him to you Cheesy

This RallyX was really the one where Mark & I were going to battle it out for 2nd overall in Class 4. I came into it with the objective of driving clean, no major mistakes and do well. If Mark did better than me, it was pretty much over since I don't have the valuable 2 points for missing event 2.

Thanks to Nick Matthews for breaking things up, things are much more interesting for the last event now. I'm trying to go through the math, but I think Mark is effectively 1 point up on me going into the last event. It should make for an entertaining day!

Sounds like you guys have a good battle, awesome stuff. I'm going to talk to Rich, and try to get him to come to the next one. Also, I'm likely going to lose the next one, as I've somehow agreed to let John drive my car with me...

I had an awesome time... To all those people that lent helmets/gave rides to new folks, the organizers, etc - you guys rocked - I saw some very big smiles.

Now to find a ride for the next one - I don't think I can subject the passat to that anymore without any [expensive] ill effects! It sure as hell isn't designed for that, nor are any repairs cheap. (like the plastic for the rear wheel well, which I cracked is 176$)
