Tall Pines Worker Notice Oct 18 07
10/18/7 at 22:04:47

Thanks to those of you who have already signed up to assist at the 2007 Rally of the Tall Pines – November 22-24. Note that with the expanded schedule of two pass recce, we need some helpers on Thursday and Friday, as well as on Saturday.  Whatever time you can commit will be appreciated. There are lots of you out there who are planning to come, but have not gone to the website yet to sign in.  Please do so as soon as possible. The worker database from the website is absolutely critical to all of our planning. A reminder of how to do that:

Returning Worker Registration Instructions:
To register as a worker and update your profile with us for this year's rally, visit the RETURNING WORKER page (www.tallpinesrally.com/TallPines/Default.aspx?tabid=44) and enter the username and password that you should have already received.
 Username: xxxxx
 Password: xxxxx (case-sensitive)
New Worker Instructions:
Go to the Pines website to the New Worker page and register: (http://www.tallpinesrally.com/TallPines/Default.aspx?tabid=45). Tell all of your friends that the best way to spectate the Rally of the Tall Pines is as a Worker!
If you have any difficulty registering as a worker on the event website send me an e mail directly at ross@tallpinesrally.com for assistance.
With ever expanding features we need over 250 volunteers to run a safe and successful event.  There are many other worker perks including free Tall Pines merchandise, a free post-rally dinner and being entered in a draw for a kayak, courtesy of Clearwater Design, plus subsidized accommodations.

Accommodations
Contrary to the statement that was on the website for a short time,  we indeed have subsidized accommodations available for workers still.
Have you booked your room yet?
To assist workers in finding accommodations in Bancroft for rally weekend we have our Accommodations Coordinator - Trish Groom waiting to assist you. You can contact her at  accommodation@tallpinesrally.com   She will help you find what you want, ranging from Elmer's Hunt Camp (super inexpensive) to lodges with full facilities and breakfast.
We are offering limited accommodations subsidies to Workers who sign up early and stay in one of our pre-approved accommodation locations. Please note that subsidized accommodation is limited, so be sure to sign up early!
The Tall Pines will subsidize a maximum of two nights accommodations per Worker (while availability lasts). Workers must sign up to help us for a minimum of one full day to be eligible for this program. Workers wishing to stay more than two nights will be charged the regular nightly rate.
For example, if a worker were to stay three nights at Cedar Ridge Lodge, they would be charged 2 nights @ $20 and 1 night @ $40 for a total of $80 for three nights.
Elmer's Hunt Camp (Reg. $10 per night - Includes breakfast):
•Tall Pines will subsidize $5 per night for a maximum of two nights.
•Additional nights will be charged at $10 per night.
Limerick Lodge &  Cedar Ridge Lodge (Reg. $40 per night - Includes breakfast):
•Tall Pines will subsidize $20 per night for a maximum of two nights.
•Additional nights will be charged at $40 per night.
If you wish to take advantage of this special offer, please use the on-line Accommodations Payment Form on our website to purchase an accommodations package with your Credit Card that best suits your schedule. Accommodations must be paid in full prior to November 22nd, 2006.

Work Day – Saturday, October 27th
We also need lots of help on the WORK DAY on SATURDAY,  OCTOBER 27th. Duties range from delivering resident letters to posting road closure notices to planning & preparation at Rally HQ to route preparation.  Please advise if you can attend then by e mailing Ross Wood directly at ross@tallpinesrally.com  Committee members should send a confirmation as well. Anyone who assists on the Work Day will receive a $10 subsidy on the RallyCross on Sunday. Note – competitors are also invited to assist on the Work Day.  This not only offers them an opportunity to contribute to the event, but also affords a chance to preview the stages.

Work Day volunteers will meet at Castledine’s Corner between 9:30 and 10:00 A.M.

Sunday Cleanup

Helpers are also needed for Sunday cleanup from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 noon.  Advise me if you can assist.
