Am I really "me"? (Read 2602 times)

Jeannie VE3JNE Senior Member Offline Posts: 327 Lanark Highlands	Am I really "me"? 08/14/8 at 12:46:08 When I first come onto the forum, I am greeted by name, but I notice that I am also listed as a "guest" each time. Why doesn't the system consistently recognize me as a user? Anyone else having this problem? Jeannie

It's probably not a problem. There's a drop-down menu on the login page that gives several options for when the forum will ask you to re-enter your password.

If it's set to anything other than "for keeps", then it will ask you for your password at least every time you enter the forum. The forum software is probably recognizing your computer, but is also recognizing the preference you've set.

Does selecting "for keeps" fix the problem?

Reply #4 - 08/15/8 at 07:50:58 That's the thing, Jeff . . . this morning it nicely greeted me with "Good Morning Jeannie" which means I am automatically logged on each time. And that's exactly why I don't understand why I am also listed as a "Guest" when I used to be "Jeannie." Hmmmmm?? Jeannie
