Borrow a Handheld HAM at ROTP?
11/05/8 at 11:26:25

I have volunteered to be in charge of the Iron Bridge Spectator location this year. I only have a mobile for my car and not a handheld.  I would really like to be in touch with the Stage Commander and those running the stage.

I was wondering if anyone has a 2m handheld that they would be willing to lend me for Friday and Saturday or Saturday only?

FYI...

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Icom-u2AT-2-Meter-FM-Handheld-Transceiver-w-Accessories_W0QQi...

Don't know the seller.

And you might have some trouble sourcing replacement batteries if needed.

Found some replacement battery cell inserts at Batteries America...

And if your budget is a little higher...
http://cgi.ebay.ca/YAESU-VX-1R-VHF-UHF-ULTRA-COMPACT-DUAL-BAND-TRANSCEIVER_W0QQi...
With a decent extra antenna.  And new enough you can find parts for it.

Anything over $150 and you might as well buy new.

Hi Dave - you could borrow mine.  Only problem I have with it is that I lost the belt clip at Neiges.  (its a Yaesu if anyone has any leads on a clip)

Thanks Anthony, I will catch up to you at some point in Bancroft. No clip is not a problem, I have lots of pockets!
