WINTER TESTING DAYS
12/21/8 at 20:53:00

I am pleased to announce three Winter Testing Days at the Burnt River
Offroad Facility. As you can see from the photo taken this afternoon, the
road is in fabulous condition - just perfect for pre-Perce Neige practice or
just to hone up your winter driving skills or for that matter just to have
fun in the snow.  The photo was taken after I had taken one pass in the
fresh snow. Drove the road about 10 times today - you quickly remember why
we love winter rallies.

Dates scheduled are as follows:

(1) Saturday, January 24, 2009

(2) Saturday, January 31, 2009

(3) Saturday, February 14, 2009

As usual the sessions session will run from 10 AM until 5 PM.

To be eligible to enter the car must be a currently legal fully prepared
performance rally car. The driver and co-driver/passenger must hold a valid
CARS or equivalent rally licence - either a CARS Regional or National
performance licence or an RSO RallySprint licence - available through the
RSO
Director, Ray Felice - rayfrally@rogers.com .

The cost will be $300 per car. You must PAY IN ADVANCE by e mail Interac
transfer,  by VISA, by direct deposit or cash. A full refund less a $30
service charge will be given for any withdrawal up to five days prior to the
Testing. Details of refund for withdrawals less than five days prior to the
Testing to be negotiated, depending on the number of cars that participate.

Each ession will be limited to the FIRST EIGHT TO SIGN UP by contacting
Ross Wood at ross.wood@sympatico.ca or by phone at 705-887-1130. If your
payment is not received by 10 days after signing up, you may forfeit your
reservation.

You may reserve a spot for one, two or all three of the dates.

Note (1) An  announcement will be forthcoming in the near future re Winter
RallyCross. Dates have been set for Sunday, January 25 (tentatively at Burnt
River) and Sunday, February 15 (tentatively at Bancroft)

Note (2) You may leave your vehicle overnight at the Burnt River Offroad
Facility after the Testing Day on January 24th in secure storage for $15.

With this mild weather we are losing our snow really fast. I know at one point we were worried that we were getting to much snow on the driveway that we had no more room to wing it to the sides. Now the snow is almost gone. So LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW. The weather forecast is call for more snow in the next couple of weeks.

Cheers,Connie

Our first testing and turning day went very well. Everyone got lots of runs in. The road way was perfect condition. We were even able to change the course a little with the drivers having them run the road there and back in one trip. We found there was less waiting and it also gave the guys more time with their vehicles to tune up.

Thank you to all the drivers and co drivers that came out and participant. I had lots of fun watching all of you trying to make that barrel turn. I know that was not easy Grin.

We still have spot available for Jan 31, 2009. If your interested please get in contact with Ross Wood at ross.wood@sympatico.ca or by phone at 705-887-1130.

Thank you Ross & Co. for freezing your .... out there today. It was excellent - snow and a lot of ice; what else could we ask for?
