As a result of a rant he did about people driving without winter tires, Rick came to the Motorsport Club of Ottawa’s winter driving track (a 2-km track created at the Capital City Speedway) to film a segment for his show. As part of the “colour,” they asked a dozen drivers to circle the track.  Look for a dark blue Subaru Impreza with a pink badge -that would be Jeannie MacGillivray.

The show should be good; hope that people will get the message to use winters, delivered in Rick's unique style! Race drivers Lewis MacKenzie (yes, the retired General) and Nigel Mortimer were Rick’s instructors for the day. There were a lot of laughs during the learning process, and Rick did smack a loaned rally car around a bit . . . !

The show will air on CBC on Tuesday, January 20, at 8:00 p.m. and repeat on Friday the 23rd at the same time. It will also be online at cbc.ca/mercerreport and on the youtube.com/mercerreport channel.
