January 27 2009 MLRC Club Meeting
Richard Burns Virtual Rallysprint!
On Tuesday, January 27th 2009 the Maple Leaf Rally club will be hosting the "Richard Burns Virtual Rallysprint" at the Musket Restaurant, home of our general club meetings. While all the details are still in the works, basically the plan is to get a bunch of rallyists together and hold a miniature rally on arguably the most realistic rally simulator out there, Richard Burns Rally. A selection of stages will be selected and run, each driver getting a chance at the stage before moving on to the next. Since we'll be using a projector and force feedback wheel and pedals, you can expect this to be a very "spectator friendly" event and all are welcome!
Interested competitors are asked to email me at president@mlrc.ca to reserve a spot as we're going to have to limit the number of drivers to 15 due to time constraints. We'll also have a waiting list in case someone can't make it. So, fire me an email ASAP to hold your spot! I've already claimed one!
For 2009 the Maple Leaf Rally Club is trying to come up with some new and exciting ideas for our general club meetings to get members involved and interested in club events. Thanks to Anthony Tremblay, our On Route editor for providing the inspiration for this! If you have an idea for a future club meeting, let the executive know at exec@mlrc.ca and we'll see what we can do about making it happen!
Thanks
Ryan Huber
