I just wanted to share a bit about my first rally event for a little review from the experienced guys and some inspiration to those looking at getting into it. I posted this same message on the MCO forum if some of you are seeing double.

So quick summary of the weekend:

-Thursday night arrive car is screeching like mad
Friday recce in a PT cruiser with all seasons (woah)
-Friday night rebuild front end of Subaru. Thanks to Ian at Planet Motor Sports these guys are awesome!
-Saturday morning get set up have 1 flat on 1 of the tractionised tires
-At parc exposee find water pump leak and fill with "stop leak" and coolant
-Lots huge amounts of time on Stage 5/10 due to to flat tires. Second time I just ran with it and first time I ran with it and then changed it.
-I stuffed it in stage 6 for crash avoidance.
-Second maintenance started to run out of time when installing lights and changing tires around. I ended up running the tractionised on the front and the snow in the rear which lead to lots of fun on Farley 2.

Lesson's Learned:
-When changing tires have tire that needs changing toward the inside of the road
-Invest in a jack better then OEM
-Possibly a Hammer drill in car could save major time
-in car lighting important for reading notes at night
-don't miss corners when doing recce no matter how insignificant.
-book hotels early and don't try to drive home from the event.
-if you ever get a bad feeling on a run take it easy because something will go wrong.
-

Was a good first rally lots of things went wrong but c'est la vie! Thanks to everyone that helped us!

30/40 I look forward to Shannonville stages .

Anyone else have any rally lessons learned that they could pass on?
