Thank you for volunteering to assist with the Maple Leaf Winter Rally.

Conditions are shaping up perfectly for a great rally tonight - relatively
mild winter night with a bit of fresh snow. There has been some fresh snow
also over the last three days, so the roads should be just right.

HQ for the night will be at the Bancroft Fish & Game Club - on Hwy. 62 about
2 km. south of Hwy. 28 in Bancroft. As you head south from the centre of
town, it is about 300 metres before the M & M ESSO station on the opposite
side. The ESSO will be staying open all night for the rally. Be sure to fuel
up before you head out on the route. You can also buy food and drink at the
ESSO.

There is a great breakfast for all workers back at HQ on Sunday AM.


The main radio frequency for the night will be 147.285+ with a tone of
118.8. If you do not have the tone set in your radio, you will hear the
repeater, but will not be able to access it. Back-up frequency will be
146.580 simplex.

Come with lots of snacks, drinks and winter equipment. Don't forgot your
clipboard and pen/pencil. We will be providing atomic clocks, but you should
also have a good clock/watch/GPS with you as back-up.

Due to losing a couple of volunteers at the last minute, we are tight. If
you know of anyone else who can come out to help, please let me know.

Workers are asked to meet at Rally HQ at 8:30 PM. First car is away at 10 PM.
