I am putting a autometer tach in my 97 legacy I was wondering if anybody knows where the tach wire is under the hood.
Thanks

Cory, I don't think the wire is under the hood.
If the speedo is cable driven, then the VSS and tach signal starts on the back of the cluster and runs down to the ECU. As for which wire, I have no idea. You'll have to hunt down a wiring diagram for your specific car and year and model.
