WTB: Rally Tires - Good Enough for Rally-X
04/07/9 at 13:17:52

I am looking to pick up a set of old rally tires. I am running a gutless carb'd 82 Volvo and I am cheap, so I am looking for a set I can pick up really inexpensively. This is for fun, I don't think I am going to set the track on fire!

I have a set of 15" Volvo alloys that I can put them on so any 15" rally tires would do. Looking for something that would be equivalent to 205/65R15 or 195/65R15 or anything around those sizes.

I may also be looking for 1 - 195/65R15 Snow tire. I have 3 Pirelli snows and am looking for one to make up a set of 4.

Hi

I have a set or Pirelli medium compound and set of soft compound Hankook tires.

Both sets are gravel tires.

The Pirellis are KM4, and the Hankooks are R203, both are 205/65R15.

Let me know,

Dan

I can send photos if you would like.

$200 for either set.

Good for you Dave - its about time you come out and have some fun.  It's not all about keeping your spectators in line you know.  It's been a while since we've seen any Swedish one wheeler peelers.

Speaking of,

I forgot to add that I also have a couple of soft and medium compound Michelins in the same size.

You can use the soft in the front and the medium in the rear.

Yea, that's what I figure too. The boys are growing up (6 and 3) and I have the raging power of a 2.1L with 1bbl carb. I am not even sure it will spin the tires on dirt! It's a good shell that needs some work on the "butt cheeks" and some suspension, but I plan to plug away at it over time. For now time to get out and thrash it a little bit.

Nice pic BTW, that will come when I find a 740 with a bad body and a good Turbo motor!

The more I see those flathoods, the more I like them. I think I may have to buy that flathood grill off you and stick it on the 82.

Dan, I have a pretty good offer from someone else right now, but if it doesn't work out I will get back to you.

No problem, these have at least 75% tread, just in case the others fall through.
