Nick & Kelly Mathew ran their best event ever this weekend at the Rocky Mountain Rally in Alberta. When all the dust and smoke (see later) had settled, they finished on the podium in the National event in 3rd Overall and 1st Nat'l Novice in their Subaru WRX STi - their best National finish to date. The brother/sister duo also took 1st Overall in the Regional portion of the event.  Watch out for this team at the Black Bear on June 13th.

First Overall went to Pat Richard/Alan Ockwell also in a Subaru WRX Sti, having lead the event from the start.

Second Overall was claimed by Andrew Comrie-Picard/Robbie Durant in their Mitsubishi Evo X after a frustrating event with numerous mechanical woes. However a huge stroke of luck came their way when they broke a wheel in Stage 9 and limped out, but did not suffer a time penalty, as the stage was downgraded due to a small grass fire that had to be dealt with.

Antoine L'Estage/Nathalie Richard were running a close second in their new Evo X, when the rear diff failed, putting them out of the action.

I believe that now leaves Pat and Alan tied with Antoine and Nathalie for first place in the CRC.
