Black Bear HQ and Spectator Information

Here are links to information on where actually rally headquarters is for the 2009 Planet Motorsport Black Bear Rally and another link to a map showing our official spectator areas for the event.  Hope to see you there!

oh and I forgot - if you are planning on coming out to spectate - come prepared with your food, drink and bug repellant.

The spectator area map indicates what times the stages are running at, and when access is open and closed to get to the spectator areas. Unfortunately due to the location, it is not possible to go to service between runs of the spectator areas.

For those who haven't checked the map:
Spectator area 1 runs at 12:30, 1:30 and 3:30
Access is possible in and out until 4:30pm along Upper Turriff Rd.

At 4:30 this access will close, while Spectator Area 2 sets up.
Spectator area 2 runs at 5:45 and 6:30
Access to spectator area 2 in and out is possible after 4:30 from the south, coming up from Weslemkoon Lake Rd.

The two spectator areas are only approximately 2.5km apart, and parking is along the side of the road between the two areas. Please be sure to only park on one side of the road to not block access for emergency vehicles. Also, please understand that the residents of the area allow the rally to take place, and thus when travelling to and from the spectator areas we ask that you drive with the utmost care. You are spectators, not competitors, please don't drive like them on your way there or home.

Thanks

That is very well said, Ryan you should put that on the spectator info page for those who don't read the forums.

Especially important on Upper Turriff Rd going in to the Spectator Areas. We have had some incidents in the past resulting in some highly sensitive residents.  Please drive like an old grandmother going in and out.
