Bilstein rebuilds

Does anyone know of a local shop (ON) that can rebuild a set of Bilstein shocks? They are off the rally 'rocco.

Try Peter at HotBits; I do not know whether he does Bilstein, but he is certainly the best in shock re-builds.

I brake for no apparent reason.

Hadn't though of that - I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks Paul.

Peter certainly knows his pogo sticks, but I don't think he does Bilstien rebuilds. You could upgrade to HotBits and be able to do rebuilds locally!
I remember looking into it, and they needed to go stateside. I would also consider checking with a DMS service center - I heard the 40MM are the same as Bilstien inserts, but this could just be hearsay.

Hey Anthony,
I've been looking into some Bilstien based struts. As a result I've asked a few questions along the way.
I have a friend who built and re-built inserts of all brands for Race Motorcycles. He told me that "a Bilstien is a Bilstien is a Bilstien. As long as you know what shim stacks to use, you're fine". He even offered to teach me how to do it. I just had to get the proper tools and the nitrogen (?).
Anyway, you may want to try some motorcycle race shops... If you know the model number, Bilstien USA (contact info is available on SS.com) can provide you with the shim stack info...
(that's the way I remember it al least)
Good luck!
Daniel
