Obtain a copy of a cars log book
08/10/9 at 19:17:16

I was looking at the following car on Rally Classified and was wondering if or how you can get a copy of a log book for a car.

http://www.rallyclassified.com/classified.php/listing/3021

Cheers,

Derek

Derek,

You would need to contact the scrutineers (scrutineers@rallysport.on.ca) and check on the history of the car. Likely a full inspection will be needed to verify the car's legality before they'll issue a new logbook. Makes me curious what car this is. Might be Roger's old car.

I am pretty sure that this may be Yavor Klostranec' s car.

From 2003 Tall Pines:

21 2:30:21   Yavor Klostranec ,
ON Jesse Klostranec
ON Nissan  Pulsar P2

If it last ran back then, it likely needs some updates to the cage (roof bars) in addition to the expired belts.

In my mind, you're looking at 8 grand to get a car to the stages. Plus or minus a bit, but that seems to be a fairly common mark (and I've not met many/any people who refute it!)

I started with a 6k car, spent about that.
I know people who started with a 1k car and spent the same as me.
Same with people that bought a 4k car.

That car will likely need some love to solve some of the issues from it sitting, as well cage updates, belts, extinguishers, possibly seats are all things that may require replacement.

Running the car, even if you're a budget production driver like myself, running the regionals  (Galway, Lanark, Bear, Pines, Shannonville and Neige) as well as rallycrosses is 6.5 grand a year if you're SUPER cheap and don't wreck.

Some food for thought.
