I'm pretty sure the main difference as far as the standards between M2000 and SA2000 is fire retardance, but an SA helmet is really designed for impacts with cage bars vs an M helmet which is designed for impacts with the ground, etc.

I picked up a new SA2005 G-Force Helmet from a place in the U.S. for just about $220 CAD with taxes, shipping and duty all in. So if you need to get a SA rated helmet that is probably the way to go.

nice, what was the place called? And would that mean if its SA2000 approved, I shouldn't use it on my street bike, do to the fact that it was only rated for hitting a roll cage and not the ground? I just ask just so i know 100% never to gab it or use it as a spare.

It is SA2005 rated which is the current standard. SA2010 is due out later this year, so if you can wait I would. I got mine from Discovery Parts.

You can't use a SA rated helmet on a motorcycle (legally or safely). Two entirely different standards.

The primary issue for motorcycle use is that M rated helmets have a wider specification for field of view than SA rated.  Peripheral vision can be affected on your motorbike.
