So if you need to get a SA rated helmet that is probably the way to go.

And would that mean if its SA2000 approved, I shouldn't use it on my street bike, do to the fact that it was only rated for hitting a roll cage and not the ground? I just ask just so i know 100% never to gab it or use it as a spare.

It is SA2005 rated which is the current standard. SA2010 is due out later this year, so if you can wait I would. I got mine from Discovery Parts.

You can't use a SA rated helmet on a motorcycle (legally or safely). Two entirely different standards.

The primary issue for motorcycle use is that M rated helmets have a wider specification for field of view than SA rated. Peripheral vision can be affected on your motorbike.
