Positive feedback just keeps streaming in about the event and in particular about the way you all performed your jobs so well and related so well with the competitors. I am cutting and pasting below a message that came from Adam Dowsett of TV2GO – Hi Ross,
Please forward this message to your worker list.
To all of the Organizers, Marshals and Volunteers that made the 2009 Rally of the Tall Pines happen, I want to thank you on behalf of TV2GO for the unparalleled cooperation we were shown. The coordination between Headquarters, the stage commanders and crews, and our film crews, was amazing. Particular thanks goes to Mike Koch, for working hard ahead of the game to facilitate our workflow, Ross Wood for ensuring we had what we needed to keep filming, and Donna Castledine for her quick thinking and amazing help with communicating with one of our crews. Every volunteer that our film crews dealt with was courteous, helpful, and professional.
Having worked as a radio Marshal the last four years at Pines, I wasn't surprised by the excellent work and banner efforts. Everyone I meet there always gives their very best. It is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to working with all of you again in 2010.
Cheers!
Adam Dowsett Editor, TV2GO
Speaking of TV2GO, we have just received news of the premier showing of the 2009 Rally of the Tall Pines. It will be aired on TSN on Saturday, December 19 09 from 12:00-12:30.
Thanks for your fantastic response to my request for leads re purchasing new light bars for the Course Cars. We have six good leads now. Next request is for someone to follow up on those leads and present a report with recommendations for the RallySport Ontario Board to consider. If interested, please advise Ross Wood.
Thanks again for contributing to a fantastic 39th Rally of the Tall Pines.
Ross
