Oakley carbonx base layer

For sale:

Oakley Base Layer Short Sleeve Top

Both are size medium. New in the original packaging, never been used.
$250 for the pair.

Carbon X's selling point is that it doesn't burn; however, there is more to that in terms of fire protection. I would say the insulation factor of Nomex would make it preferable in a fire environment. Unfortunately its this same insulation that makes to so bloody hot and uncomfortable. If a Nomex were to burn threw as shown in the video then of course this would cause issues at that point.

I was looking at this stuff for a while and am still mixed. Goodluck with the sale. I just wanted to spark discussion.

That's why it's ideal to have multiple layers of different materials. You get the best of both worlds. For anybody who's already got a single or double layer nomex suit, this carbonx underwear would be perfect.

I'm selling these, cause I've got myself a shiny new 3 layer suit, one of those layers is already carbonx.
