WTB: 2001 Outback engine

As the title says I am looking for a engine for a 01 outback. I am buying it at a great deal after someone blew the head gasket and then kept driving Sad Let me know what you have or where you have seen one etc.
It is the SOHC engine.

Any chance the 2.5L from a '97 or '98 Outback would work?  Might have one for you in Norwood.

It may but It has to be SOHC and I think all of the 2.5L from those years are DOHC. let me know I have been wrong before ( just ask my wife).
either way PM with info and price I may have a home for it anyway.
